1964 El Camino
John bought this El Camino in
1990 as a project and used it
as a daily driver for 3 years. It
was then parked for several
years as he spent quality time
with his family and home
projects. Starting in the spring
of 2002 he decided it was
time to get it on the road again
with a focus on safety and
reliability first.
The drive-train was updated
with a 383/350 combo and
4-wheel disc brakes. It was
all re-assembled just in time to
make it to the club's first BBQ
in October 2002. The car also
made it's first run at Rock
Falls Raceway that season
with other members of the
club.
